Maintaining Better Sleep and Mental Health
JENNIFER M. MUNDT, PhD

​Dr. Mundt is a sleep psychologist at the Northwestern Sleep Disorders Center. She provides behavioral treatment for sleep disorders such as insomnia and nightmares. Dr. Mundt received her PhD in clinical health psychology from the University of Florida, where she specialized in the treatment and research of sleep disorders and chronic pain. She completed her psychology residency at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Durham VA Medical Center.

Advanced Therapies in Interstitial Lung Disease
JANE DEMATTE, MD, MBA

Dr. Dematte will discuss current therapies for ILD including results of the SENSCIS trial (nintedanib), stem cell transplants and lung transplants. Her clinic area of interest and expertise is in the evaluation and management of interstitial lung disease with a particular focus on lung disease associated with connective tissue diseases such as scleroderma. She is the director of the Interstitial Lung Disease Program at Northwestern University and runs the multidisciplinary ILD bimonthly conference.

Scleroderma's Impact on the GI Tract: Q&A 
DARREN M. BRENNER, MD

Dr. Brenner will give an overview of potential GI disorders and hold an open Q&A. This is your chance to hear from a leading expert in the field and get your questions answered! Dr. Brenner's work focuses on gastrointestinal motility disorders and pelvic floor disorders including but not limited to constipation, fecal incontinence, irritable bowel syndrome, dyspepsia, gastroparesis, opioid-related bowel dysfunction as well as complications of systemic motility disorders with an emphasis on scleroderma.

Food & Nutrition for Scleroderma
CHEF KATIE SIMMONS

Chef Katie Simmons is a personal chef based in Chicago.  Classically trained, she specializes in creating healthy recipes for special diets. Her dishes cater to a variety of needs, including Celiac, oil-free vegan, low-residue, FodMAP, and more.  Her blog,Plants-Rule, has recipes, videos, and tips on how to eat a more plant-based diet.  Outside of the kitchen, she teaches group fitness classes for Equinox and FFC.  She also is a voracious traveler, having explored countries from New Zealand to Chile.  She is excited to inspire you to make time for your health!

Recent Therapeutic Trials for Scleroderma: The Good, The Bad and The Hopeful
MURRAY BARON, MD

Dr. Baron is a Professor of Medicine at McGill University and Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at the Jewish General Hospital, McGill University, Montreal. He is the Director of the Canadian Scleroderma Research group and of the International Systemic Sclerosis Inception Cohort. He has convened a new Canadian group that will develop a national protocol for performing and researching hematopoietic stem cell transplants for scleroderma. He is also the immediate past president of the Scleroderma Clinical Trials Consortium. He received his medical degree from McGill University, did internal medicine training at the University of British Columbia and rheumatology at the University of Toronto.
